For those interested in the technical side of Linkin Park, then you might be interested in this. Adamson Systems Engineering develops and manufactures a complete line of superior, advanced technology loudspeaker products for the professional touring and installation market (more info here). They recently posted a short article on their website about Linkin Park’s win at the EMAs and what their current arena rig consists of:

Linkin Park, has accepted the Award for ‘Best Live Act’ at the 2010 European Music Awards held in Madrid, Spain on November 7, 2010. The band has been touring on a massive Adamson systems arena rig on their two previous two world tours, ‘Minutes to Midnight’ and ‘Project Revolution’.


The ‘Best Live Act’ nod was accompanied by a live performance of ‘Waiting for the end’ at the Award ceremonies. The award was accepted by the ever gracious band who, not only thanked their entire production crew, which includes award winning FOH & Monitor Engineers ‘Pooch’ Van Druten and ‘Tater’ McCarthy, but also invited the crew to join them on stage to accept the award.


Presently Linkin Park is supporting their new album ‘A Thousand Suns’ which is traversing Europe and will kick-off its North American segment in Sunrise, Florida on January 20th, 2011.


Their current arena rig consists of a L&R main hangs, each made up of 16 Y18, with an underhang of four Y10′s. Nine T21 Subs are flown beside the main system L&R hangs, with four T21 Subs supporting on the ground. There are down fills made up of 12 Y10′s, and another 32 Y10 cabinets for out fills. In addition, the design features 24 SpekTrix & four SpekTrix W’s as rear and front fills. On stage, Tater McCarthy uses 14 M12 monitors, and SX18 cabinets as side fills. All Adamson speakers are powered by Lab.gruppen amplifiers.


Linkin Park is a Grammy Award winning band formed in Agoura Hills, CA, in 1996. To-date, they have sold over 50 million albums worldwide.

I also want to post some minor news that didn’t really need an entire post:

• Denver and San Diego pre-sale is now available for LPU members, don’t forget that the pre-sale for the rest of the tour dates that are not yet available (except LA) will happen on the 6th of December.
• Best Buy are offering an ‘A Thousand Suns’ bundle deal that includes the CD and a shirt. Please note that the size of the shirt is one size only, it’ll only be available in large. I believe the price is reduced, because they had this bundle since the album was released.
