The Raid to be Released by Sony Pictures Classics in Spring Next Year

The Raid which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, which is when Mike Shinoda announced he will be doing the score for the US release of the film. And according to The Deadline, the US release is set for Spring 2012! No exact date has been announced, but excited to hear that it’ll be available in the spring! Also according to the same site, it’s rumored that it will appear in the upcoming Sundance Film Festival:

It is also rumored to be en route to the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, by which time it will have a new soundtrack from Mike Shionda of Linkin Park, with Joseph Trapanese



Also, Screen Gems has acquired remake rights to produce a Hollywood remake of The Raid, not directed by Gareth Evans, who is the director of the original The Raid.
