Adam of LPUHQ was on the LPU chat earlier today answering a few questions that a few LPU members had, here’s an overview of what he said, please note that we may have heard a few things incorrectly. If you were there and we got a few things wrong please let us know! We’re trying to confirm a few things too, if there are any changes we will edit this.

EDIT: This is what Adam just confirmed:

• Email regarding DC/Uncasville/Cincinnati: “not true about the email. We did not send that out.”
• Regarding the LPU tour we had earlier: “also, there will NOT be an LPU tour. Don’t want hopes to get high. Some other cool LPU event? Likely.”

• There’s no code for the presales. Just log into LPU and go to the EVENTS section.
• Adam thinks there’s a FOUR ticket limit for the US presale. He’s not 100% sure.
• Early entry won’t be available for festivals. It’s not under their control.  It’s only available for the headline shows and the US. It’s possible that Romania and St. Petersburg on the upcoming European tour are the ONLY ones with a early entry, he’s going to try to talk to the venue people so this can happen.
• Early entry is available for LPU members and ONE guest. This does not apply for meet and greets, that is ONLY for the person on the meet and greet list.
• Incubus and Linkin Park are co-headlining the show, full set for both. Incubus will go on before Linkin Park. If you get a meet and greet, they can’t control you missing out on Incubus.
• Adam says he’s sure that Linkin Park will play more shows in Germany this fall or later
• The only new song Linkin Park will play this summer is BURN IT DOWN
• For the LPU Roadie: Being the age 16-17 is okay; you don’t have to be 18 to apply just be capable on doing this. (more info here). Also if you get picked to be an LPU roadie you can still go to the meet and greet.
• They will add more things to the LPU store, and there will be new LP merch on tour
• The guys are very busy right now for an LPU chat
• The album art is by Ghost Town Media
• Not sure when BURN IT DOWN music video will be released
• LPST missions coming up but mostly online; twitter & facebook
• Not sure about a tour date in South Africa, Chester said he’d love to. And it’d be cool to go but nothing confirmed
• Linkin Park will play in 2 TV shows in Germany, although one might be unconfirmed. They want LPU members to go these.
• For the European summer tour “what you see is what you get” when someone asked if more dates would be added for the European tour. For after summer tour though LP will be going back to Europe and maybe South America.
• Adam said no pre-sale in Russia due to online fraud issues. And there’s no such thing about backstage passes, so if you hear about this don’t believe it.

April 23, 2012 – LPU Chat with Adam:

• MEET AND GREETS
  • How can I get a meet and greet? First and foremost join LPU, do not apply for a meet and greet if you do not have tickets, you must have tickets to the show. After you’re 100% certain you can attend, go to lpunderground.com/events to RSVP, scroll down to your concert you’ll be attending and click on the “Meet & Greet” button then enter to RSVP. Meet and greets are chosen at random, there is NO guarantee that you will be chosen. If you later decide you cannot go, you can cancel by going to your show’s event page and clicking on “Cancel Your Signup”.
  • Can I buy meet and greets? No.
  • How do I know if I’ve been selected for a meet and greet? An email should be sent probably within a week to 3 days before the day of your show with all the information of the meet and greet. If you have not received an email then you have not been chosen for a meet and greet. However, you won’t be told what time and where the meet and greet will take place, you’ll get another email containing that information the day of the show.
  • Can I bring someone with me to the meet and greet? No, meet and greets are only for those that are LPU members and ONLY those that get picked. No exceptions.
  • How long do meet and greets last? Your interaction with the band is quick due to all the people. However, you will be there for a while, waiting for the band to show up.
  • How many people are selected for meet and greets? Depends on how many attend the show. Anywhere between 50-75, but it depends on the venue and how many people attend. It varies from show to show.
  • Where does the meet and greet take place? It depends, every show is different because the venues are different. You will receive an email with this information if you are chosen for a meet and greet the day of the show. Or you can go to the box office and ask when and where the meet and greet will take place.
  • When does the meet and greet take place? They take place about an hour BEFORE Linkin Park go on. For the US tour it’s likely you will miss some or all of Incubus. You might be gone an hour for the meet and greet, although this does not mean you will be with the band this long. There may be some delays meeting the band.
  • Can I bring something to be signed? Yes, you can only have ONE item signed.
  • Do I have to bring anything for the meet and greet? Bring your ID and print out email confirmation of your meet and greet.
  • Can I take pictures of the band while my item is being signed? No.
  • Will I be able to take pictures with the band? There will be no time for individual pictures, but there will be a hi-res group picture taken.
  • Where can I find the group picture? On lpunderground.com.
• EARLY ENTRY
  • What is early entry? Basically you get early entry to the venue of Linkin Park tour dates. You can either go straight to your seat or get a good spot on the floor (GA tickets) or get access to the merch booth first.
  • How early would I get before everyone else? 10-15 minutes.
  • What time should I get to the early entry line? Depends, maybe 30 minutes at the latest.
  • Is this available for ALL Linkin Park shows? No, it’s only available for the US tour dates, and shows that Linkin Park are headlining. Not festivals.
  • Do I need to bring anything for early entry? The laminate in the merchandise package is your way to get early access at the venue. Do NOT lose your laminate, it isn’t available to buy so don’t lose it. Please note that the laminate will NOT get you into the meet and greet. You will only be able to get into a meet and greet if you are selected.
  • Can I bring a friend? Yes, you may bring ONE friend with you to early entry.
  • Is early entry available for all LPU members? No, early entry is only available for LPU11 members.
  • If I get a meet and greet do I still get early access to the show? Yes.
• LINKIN PARK STREET TEAM
  • Explain more about the LPST? Linkin Park Street Team are relaunching, sign up HERE. More information can be found at lpstreetteam.tumblr.com.
• LPU ROADIE
  • What does an LPU Roadie do? Basically help Adam and promote LPU, you’ll have to translate so you must speak the local language and English. More information HERE.
  • Will there be t-shirts for the roadies? There might be, t-shirt sizes were only asked because it’s possible but don’t count on it.
  • Do roadies go backstage? Maybe, might not be possible at all though.
  • Will there be roadies at every show? Yes.
  • How many roadies are chosen per show? Maybe 1-2.
  • How are roadies chosen? Adam will choose them. You must fit all the requirements to be eligible.
• LPU SUMMITS
  • Where/when will be the next LPU Summit? Check lpunderground.com for more information, everything will be announced there. If it’s not there then there’s no news on the LPU Summit.
  • Will LPU Summits be in different places than last time? Yes, LPU Summits will not be in a place where an LPU Summit was already held.
  • Is there any chance of an LPU Summit in Russia? No.
• TOUR
  • Will there be DSPs this year? Yes, there will be DSPs this year.
  • Will Linkin Park play BURN IT DOWN before album release? Yes.
  • On the Honda Civic Tour, will Linkin Park or Incubus play first? Incubus will play before Linkin Park.
  • Will Mutemath play at Bristow, VA and Uncasville, CT? Yes, only Linkin Park and Mutemath will play at these shows, Incubus will not play.
  • Will there be any more shows announced for Europe this summer? No, all the Europe tour dates have been announced for this summer.
  • Will more tour dates be announced later this year? Definitely.
