MS|DC Shoes

Mike has been asked to design shoes for DC Shoe USA on several occasions, the first being in 2004 when he was asked to redesign their “Clientele” shoe for their Remix range.

In 2008 Mike again teamed up with DC to make a new shoe, to accompany Mike’s Glorious Excess (Born) show, the shoes featured Glorious Excess-esque artwork, Japanese imagery and characters, the shoes also had Koi fish scales on the soles. Mike designed the shoe box and a booklet of Mike’s art was also included. The shoe was made in 2 shapes, named Pride and Xander.

In 2009 Mike again remixed another DC shoe, which was a super limited edition white and green shoe featuring Japanese characters and Mike’s art inside the shoe.

At Mike’s Glorious Excess (Dies) art show, another shoe was displayed, the first in collaboration with Joe Hahn’s Suru store with Mike’s art is featured on the bottom of the shoe. The shoe was released in December 2009 with 500 pairs available and is the last shoe Mike plans to release with DC.
